Local Beekeepers help Goldilocks (2 Nov 2009)
West End and Broadway star, Tony Howes (Silly Billy) and Louise Willoughby (Goldilocks) were in Richmond last week to enlist help from local beekeepers for December’s pantomime.
Richmond & District Beekeepers Association have been given the sticky task of producing honey supplies so that the three bears can enjoy a proper breakfast throughout the show Goldilocks and The Three Bears that runs from 9th – 31st December.
This is PMA Productions’ sixth year in Richmond following the huge success of The Sleeping Beauty in 2008. Producer George Critchley, said: “Goldilocks and The Three Bears is a brand new show specially written for the Georgian Theatre Royal. We have a fabulous cast and plenty of sweet surprises thanks to help from our local beekeepers in the Richmond area.”
Joining Tony Howes (Emmerdale and Casualty) and Louise Willoughby is Paul Roberts, former leader of The Stranglers who will play The Ringmaster. Local dancers from the Heritage School of Dance, Stockton-on-Tees will support the professional cast, and one young dancer will play the part of Baby Bear alongside Michael Lambourne (Daddy Bear) and Charlotte Chinn (Mummy Bear).
