Richmond WI meets in the church hall behind St Joseph and St Francis Xavier Church, Newbiggin, DL10 4DT, on the second Monday of the month at 7 p.m.  There is no meeting in August.  We usually have a speaker at the start at the meeting, followed by refreshments.  We then give out details of any up-coming activities.

In addition to the  meeting, we have a needlecraft afternoon,  a walking group and a Mah Jong evening each month and organise other events as requested by members.

Visitors are welcome without charge for a couple of meetings, so prospective new members can see what Richmond WI is about.

Annual membership for 2017 is £39.00, but new members joining throughout the year pay a pro rata rate, depending when they join.

The regular Mah Jong evening will take place on Monday 27rd Novemober in the Conservative Club in Newbiggin, starting at 7 p.m.

November Meeting

On Monday 12th November, Ken Biggs will give us a photo presentation entitlted "Near and Far"

Details of the Federation visit to Denman College in May next year are still available, including courses in patisserie, researching your family tree, various crafts and visits to arts and crafts gardens.

The Needlefelting Education Day, held on 30th October  was a great success. With Kathy Bryan's help we made a host of Christmas Angels.

The coach trip to York Christmas Markets is on Wednesday 22nd November.  The coach is filling fast but there are still a couple of seats left, so contact Pam to book your place at a cost of £8.00.

There is a spare place at the Christmas Show at Masham, and we are currently working on our entries for the display.
