Business Training and Network Event at The Station
Wednesday, Nov 14, 2012
A business event in the dales has been a huge success and will be run again later this month at The Station in Richmond.
“Just what is needed around here, I can see so many possibilities for my business,” said one business owner following last month's Business in the Dales event in Hawes. The event is being run again at The Station on Wednesday 21st November at 6 pm.
The two hour event is an opportunity for people to learn firsthand about the tailored support and training available to Richmondshire businesses through their local business association. Organised by the Dales Business Forum, there will be an opportunity to see and hear how a selection of local businesses have already been helped through the mentoring and technical support on offer and of the impact this has had on the business.
As well as case studies this informal event will include an introduction to the relevance of using social media in a business and how it can be part of the marketing mix. The new Yorkshire Markets and Dales Business Directory web opportunities will also be introduced along with the wide ranging benefits offered through Yorkshire Business Aid (YBA).
David Doorbar, one of the YBA mentors, said: “We are passionate about business and are keen to help other business people. Whether it's cash flow and business planning, increasing profit and turnover, or finding new customers and growing the business we can help. An experienced business mentor can make such a difference to a small business as a number of our clients will testify.”
The events cost just £5 and are open to anyone in business including those thinking of starting up. To book a place ring 01748 825362, book online via www.eventsinthedales.org or simply turn up on the night. There will also be another meeting at The Buck in Reeth on Thursday 6th December.
The Dales Business Forum brings together the four local Richmondshire Business Associations [Richmond Business and Tourism; Leyburn and Mid Wensleydale Business; The Business Association (Wensleydale) Ltd; Swaledale and Arkengarthdale Business Forum] working in partnership with Richmondshire District Council, Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority and York, North Yorkshire and East Riding Enterprise Partnership].
