The Georgian Theatre Royal is launching an appeal to return missing items from a Community Arts Equipment bank which has been housed at the Georgian since May 2012.
The Equipment Bank, which was previously held at the White Rose Centre in Catterick Garrison, holds a wealth of professional equipment which is available for local amateur and professional groups to hire at reasonable rates.
When the equipment was moved to the Georgian in 2012 it was discovered that a lot of vital equipment had never been returned from previous users and is now missing.
This resource provides community groups and statutory partners with easy access to a whole host of professional arts equipment in a very convenient way and we are asking people to check that they have returned borrowed items.
There will be no charge for the return of any missing items as the Theatre just wants to be able to provide local groups with the equipment they need. The bank currently has a wide range of lighting, sound and staging which is hired out on a regular basis.
If you have borrowed from the Equipment Bank and think you may have an item that belongs to it or you are wanting to hire equipment then please don’t hesitate to get in contact with Tony Wilcock from the Georgian Theatre Royal on 01748 823 710. You can also drop equipment anonymously into the Theatre Box Office on Victoria Road.
