Richmond Live 2013!
It’s nearly that time of year again. Richmond Live 2013 is on the horizon and this year it’s looking bigger and better than ever.

For fifteen years music lovers and local businesses in and around Richmond North Yorkshire have been counting down the days to Richmond Live. The event, held on the scenic Richmond Batts, has grown steadily since its modest beginnings in the mid-1990s.

Back then a handful of volunteers put on a low key gig with a few hundred interested visitors looking on. Since then big name bands like The Hoosiers, Marillion and Bad Manners have hit the stage and wowed the crowds into the night. The result is an enormous, loyal following.

Jon Naylor, the event’s Marketing Manager explains: “We’ve attracted more music lovers year on year so far and this year is no exception. It’s looking bigger and better than ever for 2013 with headliners, “From the Jam”, supported by exciting artists covering a broad range of music genres.

"There’s literally something for everyone and we are really pleased to welcome the Military Wives who will be performing for us this year. There really isn’t anywhere else you can get a fun family weekend with 35 acts over 16 ½ hours for such a modest entrance fee which remains the same as 2012!"

Being a non-profit making event relying upon donations and support from across the local community, the Committee are keen to thank their sponsors, the many Friends of Richmond Live and the hard-working volunteers.

Richmond Live runs from 4.45pm to 11pm on Friday August 2nd and 12 noon to 11pm on Saturday August 4th. Entry is £5.00 on Friday evening and £8.00 for Saturday. Weekend tickets are also available for £12.00 on the gate however guests are encouraged to buy advanced tickets via the website for just £10.00 for the whole weekend. All proceeds will go towards making the 2014 show even bigger and better.
