Change of Direction for Leading Local Photographer
Wednesday, Sep 4, 2013
Richmond-based photographer and writer Garry Brannigan has launched a new web site to celebrate the natural beauty of wild places through photography and writing.
For the last ten years Garry Brannigan has run The Digital Dawn, one of Britain’s leading landscape photography workshop companies. His courses have become extremely popular because of his highly individual style, expertise and an intimate knowledge of the locations.
Garry's new web site, River to Ridge, developed by Richmond web design company Moonburst, features photo galleries, articles and blogs about Garry's photographic journeys.
"At the very core, River to Ridge is about a photographer’s urge to create and need to express. The blogs and articles explore the philosophical side of photography, delving into the thought processes that influence a photographer’s creative inspiration and motivation," said Garry.
Well known in Richmond for his exhibitions at The Station the accomplished photographer also judged Richmond Online's photographic competition in 2010.
Garry, 53, who lives in Richmond with memoir writer Caroline Brannigan and their two daughters, will continue to run his photographic courses until the end of 2014 and then dedicate his time and energy to River to Ridge.
