New Green Howards Museum Shop officially opened by Richmond Mayor
Richmond Mayor, Cllr Bob White, last week officially opened the new Green Howards Museum shop at 15 Finkle Street, Richmond.

The shop has moved to a new site during the £1,000,000 redevelopment of the museum, which is now underway. The work will transform the presentation of its prized collection of artefacts and memories of The Green Howards, and will cement the museum’s status as a first rate educational and community resource.

The new-look museum will re-open in late summer 2014.

Director of The Green Howards Museum, Lynda Powell, says “The new shop is in a great location, on a busy shopping street in the heart of Richmond, so we hope to attract passing trade, and people who may not have been aware that there was a shop in the museum.”

The museum shop offers a great selection of gifts, including vintage style mugs, games, gifts, homeware, books, DVDs and Green Howards memorabilia.

The shop opening hours are Wed, Thurs, Fri and Sat 10am to 4.30pm.
