Richmond Live Announces Second Headline Act!
Having recently announced The South – featuring former members of The Beautiful South as their headline act Richmond live organisers announce a second headliner for Saturday evening!

For sixteen years now music lovers and local businesses in and around Richmond North Yorkshire have been counting down the days to Richmond Live. The event, held on the scenic Richmond Batts, has grown steadily since its modest beginnings in the mid-1990s. Back then a handful of volunteers put on a low key gig with a few hundred interested visitors looking on. Since then big name band’s including From The Jam, Paul Carrack, Marillion and Bad Manners have hit the stage and wowed the crowds into the night. The result is an enormous, loyal following.

Jon Naylor, the event’s Marketing Manager explains, “Such a successful event last year has given us a great head start for the 2014 show! It means we have funds available to attract the acts we are looking for and get them signed up much earlier than before. That’s why we are proud to be able to announce a second headline act for Saturday evening.”

Richmond Live are pleased to announce that their second headliners this year are Dreadzone. With their roots in the band Big Audio Dynamite bring their unique blend of electro dub and reggae to Richmond Live. Well known for their top 20 hit Little Britain and performing in the past at Glasonbury Dreadzone have now been together for more than 20 years and are still going strong. Richmond Live is going to rock to their unique sound!

Being a non-profit making event relying upon donations and support from across the local community, the Committee are keen to thank their sponsors, the many Friends of Richmond Live and the hard-working volunteers.

Richmond Live runs from 4.45pm to 11pm on Friday August 1st and 12 noon to 11pm on Saturday August 2nd.

Ticket prices are as follows:
