One of the North’s leading auction houses will be offering members of the public the opportunity to have free valuations of any items connected to angling, shooting, hunting and other traditional country pursuits.
The two dedicated valuation sessions will be held at Addisons’ Estate Agents on King Street in Richmond on Monday 3rd March and on Tuesday 5th March at Addisons’ auction rooms, Staindrop Road in Barnard Castle, between 1.00pm and 4.00pm.
Although there is no obligation attached to the valuations; if the owners wish, they will have the opportunity to include the items in Addisons’ forthcoming annual country sports sale to be held on Thursday 3rd April.
Addisons’ auctioneer, Simon Nixon, has particular expertise in this area and will be hosting the valuation days. “There is a keen local interest in country sports memorabilia and it is a very good time to sell items like fishing rods, guns, sporting prints and hunting memorabilia.
“We introduced our first specialist country sports sale to meet popular demand three years ago and it has become an extremely successful event in the auction house’s calendar, providing a focal point for local people and collectors from further afield,” he said.
Valuations on the day are by appointment only and can be made by calling Addisons’ Auctioneers and Valuers on 01833 690545 or emailing: email@example.com
