Local events and activities marking the centenary of the start of the First World War have been gathered together on a town website.
A special section has been created on Richmond’s official website www.richmond.org to bring together the information.
The ‘Welcome to Richmond’ group, which is made up of representatives from the town’s visitor attractions, plus business and local council members, decided to collate the content on the site, in the hope that it will become a vital source of information for anyone with an interest in the centenary.
“Anyone who wants to attend a talk, see a play or plan a visit related to this historic milestone can now see the range of events all in one place,” explains Welcome to Richmond Chairman, James Gravenor. “It’s an evolving list, with the facility to add information, so we hope that others will now build on what has been started.”
