Food and drink artisans are taking to the porte cochere this weekend at The Station to offer a taste of the continent in Richmond.
"With just a week to go until the Le Tour comes racing through Yorkshire, we thought we'd slow things down a bit and create the laid back feel of small-town France with an outdoor market," explains organiser, Alex Franks from The Angel’s Share Bakery, finalist in ITV’s Britain’s Best Bakery. "All of the food and drink artisans from The Station are taking part, offering new products on the day, or applying a Gallic twist to their usual fayre."
The market, part of a range of events taking place at 'la Gare' to celebrate the Tour de France in Yorkshire, takes place under the arched area immediately outside the entrance between 10am and 3pm on Saturday 28 June. The Station’s own vintage fundraising shop, Lost & Found will also be running a bric-a-brac stall.
A limited number of additional stalls are available for hire. Anyone interested should contact Alex on 01748 672680.
