Pilates Pilots - Taster Pilates Sessions at the Station
Wednesday, Aug 6, 2014
Local fitness fans will have a new class to attend soon in a brand new location; even getting the chance to ‘try before they buy’ this month.
Michelle Ormrod will be holding pilates classes on Tuesday and Thursday mornings at The Station from the beginning of September. The former nurse and health visitor has been practicing pilates for more than a decade, and is a passionate advocate of the technique.
“Pilates can have a positive impact both physically and mentally,” explains Michelle. “I love teaching the method through which you can attain strength, tone, flexibility and improve your posture and balance. Pilates is the perfect tonic to combat the rigours of modern day life in front of the screen, sat at a desk, or in the car.”
Michelle will be holding four pilates pilot sessions at The Station this month for people to try out the class and find out more about what’s involved, before regular sessions begin in early September.
Michelle’s taster sessions are from 9.15am to 10.15am and 10.45am to 11.45am on 19th and 26th August. She will also be available before and after these sessions to chat to anyone who wants to find out more.
Regular sessions will be held on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9.30am to 10.30am and 10.45am to 11.45am from 2 September.
“We’re delighted to welcome Michelle, and looking forward to hosting the classes in our new Townsend Suite, the largest of the rooms available to hire for classes and activities here at The Station,” says Manager, Melanie Cookson-Carter. “We’ve never hosted a fitness related class, so we’re sure it will bring an added dimension to our busy programme of regular activities.”
Anyone who attends the taster sessions and then books for the regular classes will receive a 10% discount.
Classes cost £7. For more information, contact Michelle on 07986 511 224 or email: firstname.lastname@example.org
