Just the Job Environmental Enterprises is now able to ‘cultivate’ more customers after taking delivery of a brand new Nissan Pick Up.
Thanks to a grant of £5,000 from Richmondshire District Council’s Community Opportunities fund the organisation has been able to add the vehicle to their ageing Iveco truck increasing their database of customers and income.
Just the Job is a charity and social enterprise in Richmond supporting adults with disabilities through work skills and life skills training which includes a gardening service and fire wood log sales.
“Having the new vehicle has saved Just the Job thousands of pounds in hire costs for the summer and allowed us to increase our work load and take on more customers,” said Stephen Biggs, Manager.
“Everyone has been very excited at the arrival of the new pick up and there is a rush to be first out the door to grab a seat for the day. We really appreciate all the support and generosity that has made it possible, with special thanks to Paul Curran Celebratory Trust, Richmondshire Time Bank, Altberg and Jack BruntonTrust .
“As a charity we are constantly looking at ways to raise money and our next fundraiser is a coffee morning at Richmond Town Hall on August 9.”
Members of Just the Job are doing a sponsored swim and a walk. Donations can be made via localgiving.com/justthejob or directly to Just the Job at Unit 30 Racecourse Road, Richmond, DL104TG.
