Richmond Art Gallery Re-opened by Mother and Daughter
Lulu and Kelly Fidler
A Richmond mother and daughter, who are passionate about art, have revamped an art gallery in the town.

Lulu and Kelly Fidler opened The Showcase Gallery on Finkle Street in October. Lulu, who is well known for her music in the town, said: “It’s something we’ve wanted to do for a very long time and we’re delighted to have finally achieved it.”

Daughter Kelly, who has been working as a self-employed bookkeeper, said: “Mum and I have always loved art, we used to spend hours at craft fairs when I was little.

“We’re really excited about being able to showcase the artwork of some of the more established artists in the area and also encouraging up-and-coming artists to exhibit too.”

The spacious gallery, which accommodates a large selection of locally crafted sculpture, ceramics, jewellery, textiles, paintings and prints, will also be the venue of some Christmas cheer this Friday evening (December 2nd).

To coincide with Richmond’s Christmas lights being switched on, Lulu and Kelly are inviting Christmas shoppers to browse the art on display whilst enjoying mulled wine, mince pies and music. Local musician Dave Harris will be playing live Jazz music during the evening.

The Showcase Gallery is open 9.30am – 5.30pm Monday – Saturday and 11am – 3pm on Sundays. For more information about the gallery go to or phone 01748 822400
