Richmond's Theatre Plays Host to Dynamic Scottish Folk Band

Scottish folk act, Session A9, will be leaving the Highlands behind later this month to add to the Georgian Theatre Royal's diverse programme of live music.
The Scottish super group are venturing south of the border to bring their music to a limited number of venues with Richmond's theatre being one of them.
Session A9 have established themselves among today's most accomplished and exciting folk acts and have successfully toured Scotland and England playing at many of the major music festivals in the UK including, Glastonbury, Cambridge folk festival, Celtic Connections and Edinburgh’s Hogmanay celebrations in 2005. They have also toured Europe performing in Spain, Switzerland, Italy and the USA.
Formed in 2001 Session A9 compromises of 7 talented Scottish musicians who perform original tunes which are intricately orchestrated to create an immersive and vibrant sound.
Featuring fiddlers Charlie McKerron (Capercaillie), Gordon Gunn, Adam Sutherland (Treacherous Orchestra), Kevin Henderson (Fiddlers' Bid, Boys of the Lough) with vocalist/guitarist Marc Clement (formerly of Blazing Fiddles), keyboards, Brian McAlpine and David Robertson (Capercaillie) on percussion.
They will be celebrating the release of a new studio album which coincides with this autumnal tour.
