The first visitor to use a new gift service at The Station in Richmond, North Yorkshire was rewarded with a surprise present.
The Shop, which is the The Station gallery’s design outlet, has recently launched a Wish List; logging people’s longed-for items in a special book so purchasers can choose, secure in the knowledge that what they’re buying is exactly what their friend or relation really wants.
“It is the first time I've been in this wonderful design gallery, loving the ceramics and all the gorgeous hare-related jewellery and cards,” says Ann Hallos, from Darlington, who coincidentally visited on her birthday. “I think the Wish list book is a perfect solution for the reluctant present-buyer.”
As the first name in the Wish List book, Ann was presented with a gift by The Shop’s Retail Assistant, Sue Dewhurst.
"It’s great to get the Wish List started, and I’m hoping that lots of visitors to The Station use the service," says Sue. "When you see something you can't live without, just pop it in the book, tell a loved one to have a look at the Wish List when considering buying you a gift and you're almost there. We've got sumptuous fluffy blankets to snuggle up in, gorgeous ceramics to sip your hot chocolate from, naturally scented soaps, and some exclusive jewellery to banish the winter blues, sourced from British designers and all under one roof at The Station.”
The Shop is open 10am to 4pm. Closed on Wednesdays.
