Artist’s Happy Memories Ensure First Solo Show Is At The Station
Friday - January 13, 2017
The Station's very first selling exhibition of 2017 is also a first for its artist. ‘Drawings from the Dales’ is Stacey Moore's first solo exhibition, although she's no stranger to having her work on show.
A range of Limited Edition Prints and never-before seen Original coloured pencil drawings will be on sale from our mezzanine gallery. Stacey's intricate coloured-pencil drawings are inspired by the animals who bring the Yorkshire Dales to life.
Stacey opened her own gallery in Hawes last year, but her exhibition at The Station is the first time she's ventured out to exhibit on her own.
"Back in 2011 I was part of a Wensleydale School exhibition in The Station. I remember feeling nervous that the public were going to see my work for the first time," recalls Stacey. "I drew two large cockerel pieces in coloured pencils. On the day we went to hang them the lady organising had allocated me the stone wall, we placed them on the floor ready to be strung and a woman came over and bought them. Just like that! My first experience at The Station was one I'd never forget! It seemed only natural I would go back as a professional artist to hold my first solo exhibition."
Stacey is one of Yorkshire’s exciting new emerging coloured pencil artists. She is a passionate animal lover who combines her art with a touch of humour, her distinctive style is now instantly recognisable. With an ever-growing collector base, her Originals and Limited Edition Prints, are highly sought after by animal-lovers across the UK.
Drawings from the Dales: Saturday 14 January to Wednesday 1 February 2017.

During this time the Station is also showing an exhibition of images from the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority's work to conserve the area's lead mining heritage, as well as heritage boards which detail the history of The Station and the impact of the railway on Richmond.
