 Greencroft is situated on the edge of one of North Yorkshire's most exclusive villages, Middleton Tyas. Situated near Scotch Corner, it is an ideal stop off for those travelling north to Scotland or south to York, but it is also ideally situated for those wishing to stay a little longer and discover the unspoilt beauty of the Yorkshire Dales.We are only a few minutes from the county of Durham which boasts a world heritage site in Durham Cathedral and has award winning museums in The Bowes Museum and Beamish Heritage Museum. York and Whitby are a little further but can be visited within a day.  Historic Richmond with its medieval castle and cobbled market square, museums and Georgian architecture is only a few miles away, and for those interested in Herriot Country the Herriot Museum is not far at Thirsk  Click images to enlarge Although our location is very rural we have an excellent selection of high quality restaurants in and around the village, menus are kept in the front hall. We also keep a good amount of tourist information and brochures and can offer first hand knowledge of most attractions. Greencroft is a comfortable bungalow with only one step, so it is very accessible offering a large family room with a double bed, single bed (and a further single bed if required) it has en-suite facilities, a tea and coffee tray and a colour television with remote.  Breakfast consists of fruit juice, fresh grapefruit or melon or cereals to start, followed by a traditional English breakfast or French toast with maple syrup and crisp bacon or poached eggs on toast with grilled bacon and tomatoes (less calorilic for those watching their weight), or croissants filled with sauteed mushrooms and melted cheese, tea or coffee and toast with a selection of preserves.Tariff Double £52.00 (£26 per person) Triple £66.00 (£22 per person) Single £35.00 Cot available on request Our guests are free to use our large garden in which to relax.
