Town Ticket Adds Local Eateries To Discount Offer
Tuesday - March 21, 2017
A discount scheme which gives reductions on admission to attractions in a North Yorkshire town has been expanded.

The Richmond Town Ticket, now in its third year, offers a saving of at least 20% on admission to Richmond Castle, The Georgian Theatre Experience, The Green Howards Museum and The Richmondshire Museum.

For 2017, five local eateries have also joined in, giving Town Ticket holders even more ways to save.

“It’s great to be able to build on the success of the ticket by including a range of great places to eat in the offer,” explains Lynda Powell, Chair of the Welcome to Richmond group; creators of the Town Ticket.  “As well as reductions on admission to our museums, theatre experience and castle, there’s 10% off for holders at several  of our most popular cafes and restaurants.  It’s brilliant for the attractions and the businesses to join together to help people get even more out of a visit to Richmond.”

Richmond Town Ticket 2017 goes on sale from Saturday 1 April and runs until Tuesday 31 October.  It’s valid for a single entry to each of the attractions, and holders will also get a 10% discount on their bill for the duration of the season when eating at at Cross View Tea Rooms, Jeffersons , Sip, Rustique and The Black Lion Hotel.

“As a long-standing Richmond business, we’re always happy to help out with any initiative which sees us working together to give people a great deal, and a great experience, when they visit our town,” says David Rees, owner of Cross View Tea Rooms in the market square.

Richmond Town Ticket 2017 is available from The Georgian Theatre Royal, The Green Howards Museum, Richmond Castle and The Richmondshire Museum as well as the Tourist Information Centre at Richmond Library.
