Global Commentator Hones In On Richmond
Tuesday - January 31, 2017
The intimate setting of Richmond’s Georgian Theatre Royal will offer people the unique opportunity to get ‘up-close-and-personal’ with a man whose regular audiences run into the millions.

Andy Zaltzman, who has firmly established himself in the vanguard of British comedy with his unique brand of political satire, will be appearing at the Theatre on Friday 10 February at 7.30pm.

Along with co-writer John Oliver, Andy presents the satirical podcast The Bugle, one of iTunes’s biggest ever comedy podcasts which averages well over 2 million downloads a month. He is also a regular on 7 Day Saturday/Sunday for Radio 5, and on Radio 4, he has written and hosted Andy Zaltzman’s History of the Third Millennium, Series 1 of 100, co-written three series of satirical sitcom The Department, and presented three series of his show Political Animal.
His touring show Plan Z addresses diverse issues such as the past, the present, the future, body surfing and the unending volcano of confused fury that is modern global politics.
Time Out describes Zaltzman as a “master satirist” and, according to the Sunday Times, his show is “political comedy at its best.”

“This is a unique opportunity to spend an hour or so in the company of someone who broadcasts on a vast scale across the globe about global issues. Here at Richmond – where no seat is further than 11 metres from the stage - the experience will be far more personal!” said Clare Allen, Chief Executive at The Georgian Theatre Royal.

Tickets cost £13 and are available from the Box Office on 01748 825252 or via the online booking service at:
