Grand Annual Duck Race

start: The Green Bridge

Quite possibly the slowest race you'll ever see, on one of the fastest flowing rivers in the country, and the best family fun in Richmond on a Bank Holiday Monday.

Richmond Duck Club's annual Grand Duck Race starts at the Green Bridge at 2pm, but be sure to take up your position on the side of the course in plenty of time to get the best view of proceedings.

Watch those little yellow, pink and blue beauties get tipped in from a great height, then bob their way down the Swale and over the falls in a gruelling test of stamina and skill.

With prizes of up to £250 up for grabs, for 1st, 2nd, 3rd and last placed, make sure you get your duck ticket in advance or at the riverside on the day.
