Stories to Live By by Edward Batchelor

When a woman finds herself at the end of her wits with a lifetime of indecision, she is presented with a second chance. With the help of a mysterious library with an even more curious bookkeeper, our protagonist is given the opportunity to explore her “other lives” and see what just might have happened had she made different choices in her life, and whether she’d be any happier as herself as someone else.

All We Know by Eve Emison

When their matriarch unexpectedly passes away, the estranged Calvert family are thrust into a civil war over who should inherit the family business, causing long overdue confrontation and dark family secrets to be discovered. These events are observed by the ghosts of their deceased ancestors, who are cursed to haunt the manor until they complete their unfinished business - if they can figure out what it is!

This ensemble play explores whether people act in certain ways because it’s ‘all we know’, as well as humanity’s lack of knowledge about the afterlife through Brechtian influences and an overriding theme of loss.

Tickets cost £7 and are available from the Box Office on 01748 825252 or online at: www.georgiantheatreroyal.co.uk
