Richmondshire Concerts has announced its 2025–26 season, offering six remarkable evenings of live chamber music at Richmond School, with performances from some of the UK and Europe’s most exciting ensembles and soloists.

Season subscriptions are now available for just £65 — giving music lovers access to all six concerts and saving over 50% on individual tickets, which are priced at £22 each.

The new season opens on Saturday 20 September 2025 with a performance by the VOCES8 Scholars, a talented young vocal group from the internationally renowned VOCES8 Foundation. Their programme, All Seems Beautiful, spans music from the Renaissance to the present day, showcasing the group’s extraordinary range and artistry.

Next, on 4 October, the acclaimed Fibonacci Quartet returns to Richmond following a standout debut last season. The quartet — currently Resident Ensemble at Madrid’s prestigious Escuela Superior de Música Reina Sofía — will perform works by Haydn, Janáček, Bartók, and contemporary composer Fergus Hall.

On 15 November, audiences can enjoy the distinctive sound of the Delphine Trio, recent winners of the Royal Overseas League Competition. Their engaging programme features music by Beethoven, Camille Pépin, Brahms, and a playful Fantasy on Bolero.

The new year begins on 21 February 2026 with the Kleio Quartet, First Prize winners at the Carl Nielsen International Chamber Music Competition and current BBC New Generation Artists. Their concert includes works by Mendelssohn, Saariaho, and Elgar.

On 21 March, the celebrated Piatti Quartet brings a rich and wide-ranging programme including Brahms, Dvořák and the contemporary composer Charlotte Harding.

The season concludes on 11 April with soprano Penelope Appleyard and pianist Jonathan Delbridge, performing Sense and Musicality — a charming programme inspired by the musical world of Jane Austen, featuring pieces from her personal repertoire and from film adaptations, all played on a beautifully restored 1814 Broadwood Square Piano.

Chris Shaw, Chair of Richmondshire Concerts, said:

“This is one of the strongest and most varied seasons we’ve ever presented. Every artist in this year’s line-up performs at the highest level — some are already well-known, others are stars in the making. A full season subscription offers unbeatable value, and we’re keen to welcome both returning and new concertgoers to this special series.”

Concerts are held on Saturday evenings at 7.30pm in the main hall of Richmond School, Darlington Road — a bright, accessible venue with free parking, excellent acoustics, and interval refreshments.

To encourage young audiences, tickets are just £1 for under-18s and full-time students, part of Richmondshire Concerts’ commitment to keeping world-class music open to all.

Subscriptions and individual tickets can be purchased online with no booking fees, and payment can be made by PayPal, card, or cheque. Full details, concert programmes, and booking options are available at: www.rsconcerts.org
