Scottish Country Dancing is known to be good for your health - it’s fun, sociable and exercises both muscles and brains. For those who also enjoy Scottish music, it ticks all the boxes! No special equipment is needed, costs are low, and you are welcome to come alone or bring a partner or friends.

Richmond Branch of the RSCDS was formed in 1952. The group is small but very active.

Classes are held every Wednesday evening, for adults of mixed abilities including beginners, at the Booth Memorial Hall in Catterick Village, DL10 7LD, 7.30 - 9.30 pm from September to April.

Social dances are held monthly from September to March in Richmond Town Hall, dancing to recorded music by a variety of good bands. Dancers from other nearby groups usually join us.

Dances are held twice a year at Richmond School dancing to live music, with dancers joining us from several other groups across the region.

Richmond Branch has a display team which has danced at care homes, village fairs, Leeds dance festival and next to the Flying Scotsman! See us at MayFest!
