The Georgian Theatre Royal in Richmond is inviting local artists to take part in the next season of The Gallery, its vibrant exhibition space, running from February to November 2026.

Following the success of its first exhibition, which opened in March 2025 and runs until the end of October, the Theatre is excited to offer local creatives a chance to showcase their work in a historic venue at the heart of the community. The Gallery has become a welcoming space where residents and visitors alike can enjoy inspiring and diverse artwork while experiencing the Theatre’s unique atmosphere.

Exhibition Co-Curator Jordie Gilpin said: “The first season has been wonderful. We’ve seen so much creativity and talent from local artists, and it’s been fantastic to see audiences enjoying their work. We’re really looking forward to welcoming even more artists from the Richmond area in 2026.”

Artists aged 16 and over are invited to submit up to three pieces for consideration. Submissions can be existing work or new creations, with no restrictions on theme, style, or medium. All artwork must be suitable for a public audience.

The exhibition is free to visit and open to the public during the Theatre’s Box Office opening hours. In lieu of commission, artists are asked to donate 20% of any sales to The Georgian Theatre Royal, a registered charity supporting arts and culture in the local community.

The deadline for applications is 5pm on Monday 3 November 2025. For more information or to apply, contact:

This is a wonderful opportunity for local artists to share their work, connect with the Richmond community and contribute to the town’s growing reputation as a hub for creativity and culture.
