Shops, homes and businesses across Richmond have been marking this year’s Remembrance commemorations with a series of striking and heartfelt displays. From knitted poppies and hand-crafted wreaths to poems and creative window tributes, the town has once again shown its deep respect and gratitude for those who have served.

One particularly eye-catching display can be seen at The Green Howards Museum, which has joined forces with the Army Benevolent Fund to feature one of the charity’s iconic Steel Soldiers in its gift shop window. The installation forms part of a national campaign highlighting the ongoing needs of soldiers, veterans and their families, while encouraging communities to pause and reflect on service and sacrifice.

The many displays around Richmond offer residents and visitors a moving reminder of the town’s enduring connection to the Armed Forces and its shared commitment to remembrance.
