Richmond MayFest returns on May 2nd, 3rd and 4th for three glorious days of music, dance, and family fun.

The MayFair is back at Richmond Castle with the usual heady mix of performance, historical reenactment, circus skills and more - plus, new this year, Axe Throwing! As usual, admission is free for DL9, DL10 and DL11 residents.

Also new this year is the Ballad Walk - a musical history tour around Richmond led by singer Vivien Ellis with local guests. Limited tickets so book soon!

This year, the headline concert at St Agatha's features up-and-coming folk trio The Keld. Expect sparkling sounds on mandola, guitar and accordion! As usual, there's the chance to join a musical promenade from The Station to Easby, leaving from The Station at 4pm to arrive at St Agatha's in time for tea and a cake before the concert at 5pm.

Crafts at Richmondshire Museum (again, free for DL9, DL10 and DL11 residents) offer the chance to make May-themed crafts and displays for the epic MayFest parade on Monday - everyone is invited!

The full programme (and really, the above is only a sample of what's happening!) s available here.
