Sing for a Global Audience

If there's one thing Richmond isn't short of, it's the opportunity to sing. There are at least six choirs or choral groups in town. At least...

Now here's another opportunity - and it comes with an invitation to perform in front of a pretty demanding audience. The Swaledale Festival regularly attracts visitors from all round Britain and from all over the world. In June 2027 the Festival will put on a production of Karl Jenkins’s 'The Armed Man: A Mass for Peace', in St Mary's Church, Richmond. It's a fabulous work, and it calls for a new Swaledale Festival Chorus.

The Festival is now recruiting capable singers, in all voice parts, who are able to prepare music by themselves and commit to the three dedicated Sunday rehearsals and the performance itself. Places will be limited, with singers selected for balance across the voices. Applicants are asked to submit a short audio recording. Applications close on 22 October, so don't delay! Interested?
