Swaledale Festival events in Richmond - which tickets are still available?

The Swaledale Festival is hugely popular, both with locals and with visitors from the UK and overseas. As usual, there are already quite a few sell-outs. Here in Richmond we have a bit of an advantage - our venues tend to be larger, meaning events don't sell out so fast.

Here's are the Richmond-based events for which tickets are still available*. But don't delay - get your orders in now! The clickable links below lead to further information pages, with venue details and optional online ordering.

Tuesday 26 May Guided Walk: Save our Swale. A circular 4-mile walk, led by local water-health volunteers. Even the loveliest river benefits from active protection.

Jonny Bruce: The Golden Age of Swing. The fiery trumpeter and his quintet promise a rampage through the Great American Songbook.

Wednesday 27 May Sally Coulthard: The Wildlife Year - How to Reconnect with Nature Through the Seasons. Conversations and readings with the popular author.

Guided Walk: Nature and Flowers in Swaledale. A moderate 5-mile walk, exploring tracks, woodland and pasture.

Musical Seasons Safari. An exploration of music, including Vivaldi's Four Seasons, for younger people and their grownups.

Vivaldi's Four Seasons - the ever-popular piece is reimagined by an outstanding quartet of instrumentalists.

Friday 29 May Jenneba Kanneh-Mason. Highlights from the pianist's new album: Bach, Chopin, Beethoven, Debussy and more.

Late Night Bach. Violinist Philippa Mo performs works by Bach and Missy Mazzoli in the intimate jewel-box that is the Georgian Theatre Royal.

Sunday 31 May Richmond Chamber Orchestra. Two ace violinists join the oprchestra in Bach's astounding Double Concerto, and works by Grieg and Richter.

Tuesday 2 June Ladies of Midnight Blue. This dynamic duo fuses rhythms, brass, and vocal chants. Young local artists join them for an exhilarating musical ride. 

Friday 5 June Love Flows as the Brook Flows, with baritone Roderick Williams and pianist Susie Allan in an evening of Schubert, Finzi, Vaughan Williams and more.

Saturday 6 June Happy Birthday, Sally Beamish. Join the composer and her friends as she retuns to Easby Church for her 70th birthday.

Richmond On Song. Join the Dales Community Pop Choir and the Catterick Service Children’s Choir for a joyful celebration of song.

Fauré's Requiem, Roderick Williams and soprano Sophie Montgomery join the Swale Singers for Fauré's much-loved Requiem.
