There's never a dull moment in Richmond...

There’s always something to do and somewhere to go in Richmond. With the unique Georgian Theatre Royal plus the award-winning independent cinema at The Station, drama and cinema are well taken care of, and then there’s the sparkling events programme at the Green Howards Museum, as well as Richmond Castle and the Richmondshire Museum.

And coming up is Richmond MayFest - the town's annual celebration of spring with loads of music, dance and family fun going on all over the town. This year it is all happening on May 2nd-May 4th, with the May Fair at Richmond Castle, concerts, ceilidh, Folk Fest, Baroque Fest, Day of Dance and much much more. A range of 2D and 3D works of Art and Craft inspired by the Moors and Coast of Our HomeThe Members of Brigantia consist of painters, ceramicists, jewellers, wood workers, photographers, potters and textile artists working in both 2D and 3D media. They had put together an exhibition which links into many traditional skills re-interpreting them to produce items of aesthetic beauty and practicality using their wide range of skills and their love of the beautiful area in which they live.They have exhibited in many settings including the Station Gallery and look forward to a fresh opportunity to share their work with the people of the area.
