What's On

There's never a dull moment in Richmond...

There’s always something to do and somewhere to go in Richmond. With the unique Georgian Theatre Royal plus the award-winning independent cinema at The Station, drama and cinema are well taken care of, and then there’s the sparkling events programme at the Green Howards Museum, as well as Richmond Castle and the Richmondshire Museum.

The town’s many choirs and two orchestras offer up regular concerts, alongside the Richmondshire Concert Series in Spring and Autumn bringing in world-class chamber ensembles, while there’s plenty of live music at The Comrades Club and at many of the town’s great pubs. Richmond’s festivals are amazingly diverse, from the lively performance scene at MayFest to the delights of both “books and boots” at September’s Walking and Book Festival - never mind the epic Duck Race on the Swale.

Craft markets, health and wellbeing events, every kind of community group you can think of, talks, walks… you’ll always find something to enjoy.

The Association of Animal Artists are excited to present yet another stunning collection of animal artwork this autumn at The Station.

With members depicting a plethora of animals in an array of mediums and styles, this year there are several new categories which artists have entered.

There is something for the whole family to enjoy at this wonderful exhibition, with some unique pieces being created for this event.

"We are absolutely delighted to be returning to The Station once again, not only does this venue have a vibrant creative space, but it also boasts a cinema, café and other shops too all set within a stroll of Richmond's historic market place.

We hope to inspire you to reconnect with nature and realise the unique beauty of the animals we share the planet with through the wonderful artwork of our members."
