A Summer of Music

Richmondshire Concerts have nearly finalised next Season’s programme but in the meantime, have news of lots of local musical events to keep you busy over the summer.

Swaledale Festival is currently in full swing and I’ve been hugely impressed by the exceptional variety of what’s on offer this year. The three concerts below are all in Richmond and should be well worth a look

Friday 29th May at 9.45 pm in the Georgian Theatre there is Late Night Bach with solo violinist Phillipa Mo.

Sunday 31^st May at 3.30 pm in St. Mary’s Church. If you’ve missed violinist Fenella Humphreys at her sold out concerts earlier this week, she’ll be back but this time with Philippa Mo and the Richmond Chamber Orchestra.

Then on Friday 5^th June at 7.30 pm in St Mary’s Church, Roderick Williams, baritone, and Susie Allen, piano, will present their programme, Love Flows as the Brook Flows.

Further ahead, Wensleydale Concerts have a great series of music in Aysgarth church. The next one is not far off on 20^th June.
