Climate Emergency Briefing Film at The Station Cinema

Last November, ten of the UK’s leading experts briefed an invited audience of over 1,200 politicians and leaders from business, culture, faith, sport and the media.The briefing set out the implications of climate and nature breakdown for health, food systems, national security and the economy.

The People’s Emergency Briefing is a short documentary based on this briefing. It offers up the key takeaways from the NEB talk alongside interviews with celebrities and audience members from the briefing. Presented by Chris Packham, the film looks at the risks of our changing climate, clearly established by independent experts, to the environment and human communities. The aim of the film is to bring people together to call on the Government to act to ensure that both. we and nature are prepared an protected. Bottom line the film is designed to deliver hard scientific facts alongside a call for audiences to step in to take positive actions as a community.

The film is 45 minutes long and will be shown at the Station Cinema on Tuesday 6th October at 7pm. It's free-to-enter, an will be followed by an audience discussion led by environment journalist Sarah Hartley.
