Audiences are invited to step back into the heyday of British music hall and variety entertainment when Twice Nightly comes to The Georgian Theatre Royal on Friday 10 and Saturday 11 July at 7.30pm.

Performed by Dominic Goodwin, a familiar and much-loved face to Richmond audiences, the nostalgic one-man show follows Freddie Francis, a seasoned second-spot comic who has spent 30 years travelling the country as part of every variety bill going.

Set in 1956, Freddie looks back on a lifetime spent on the road, sharing stories from the world of showbusiness and recalling the highs and lows of a career filled with colourful characters, comic mishaps and unforgettable moments.

Dominic is no stranger to The Georgian Theatre Royal stage. Having delighted audiences as the Theatre's much-loved pantomime dame for many years, he has remained a regular performer in Richmond, earning a loyal following thanks to his warmth, humour and engaging stage presence.

Twice Nightly celebrates the rich tradition of British variety with routines made famous by legendary performers such as Max Miller, Rob Wilton, Jimmy James and Norman Evans. The show also features a selection of popular songs from the era, including The Man Who Broke the Bank at Monte Carlo, Happy Days Are Here Again and Goodnight Sweetheart.

Full of laughter, nostalgia and classic entertainment, Twice Nightly offers a charming glimpse into a bygone age and is sure to delight both those who remember the golden days of variety and those discovering them for the first time.
