Some of our visitors at Richmond Information Centre are looking for a 10-mile yomp; others are after a shorter pootle, such as the Easby Loop; and quite a few say: "I've just got an hour - what do you suggest?" For those time-pressed visitors, the 'Exploring Richmond on Foot' leaflets are just the thing. Now there's a fifth title in the series: 'Townscapes and Landscapes', produced in collaboration with the Richmondshire Landscape Trust.

The Trust is a wonderful local organisation which raises funds to buy and conserve the historic green spaces around Richmond, for public access and enjoyment. The new leaflet takes the walker on a short tour of some of the Trust's pasturelands, dipping in and out of the old town on the way.

All the leaflets in the 'Exploring Richmond on Foot' series are beautifully produced, in full colour, with a map, photos and detailed guidance. As you can see, they are thematic, with each one looking at just one aspect of Richmond. They are on sale at the frankly ridiculous price of just £1 in Richmond Information Centre, at the back of the town's Market Hall. And right next door to the Information Centre you'll find the Richmondshire Landscape Trust's stall; so drop by, say "Hello" to Kerry, and find out more about that fine organisation.
