Fully Charged, at Last

This happy looking gadget is an electric car charger. And why is it looking happy? Because it actually works!

The four EV chargers in Nuns Close, the major car park in Richmond, were taken offline in May, and have only now returned to life. Nearly six months of nothing happening... No wonder visitors came into the Information Centre to grumble at us that they had booked their stay in the expectation of using these chargers.

Anyway, good news - the chargers are back in action. For the EV users among you, here are the techy specs: they are now run by Connected Kerb; they charge at up to 11.1kW; they are contactless; and they are priced at a reasonable 40p/kWh (possibly a bit less if you use the Connected Kerb app).

Please plug in, and let us know how it goes.
