There's never a dull moment in Richmond...

There’s always something to do and somewhere to go in Richmond. With the unique Georgian Theatre Royal plus the award-winning independent cinema at The Station, drama and cinema are well taken care of, and then there’s the sparkling events programme at the Green Howards Museum, as well as Richmond Castle and the Richmondshire Museum.

And coming up is Richmond MayFest - the town's annual celebration of spring with loads of music, dance and family fun going on all over the town. This year it is all happening on May 2nd-May 4th, with the May Fair at Richmond Castle, concerts, ceilidh, Folk Fest, Baroque Fest, Day of Dance and much much more. Richmond attractions are throwing open their doors and waiving admission charges for Richmondshire residents.

Be a ‘doorstep tourist’ on Love Being Local day. Even if you’ve lived in Richmond, or the surrounding area, for years and visited our fabulous attractions many times, there’s always something fresh to see.

Please bring proof of Richmondshire residency, such a utilities or council tax bill, to secure your free admission between 10am and 4pm.

In addition to free entry at the charging venues, The Shop at The Station is offereing a 25% discount on the day and a host of great deals available to local people for the month ahead, with vouchers for Richmondshire Leisure Trust to pick up from Love Being Local attractions.
