What's On

There's never a dull moment in Richmond...

There’s always something to do and somewhere to go in Richmond. With the unique Georgian Theatre Royal plus the award-winning independent cinema at The Station, drama and cinema are well taken care of, and then there’s the sparkling events programme at the Green Howards Museum, as well as Richmond Castle and the Richmondshire Museum.

Coming up this month it's Green Howards weekend on 9-10 May with the parade of veterans on Sunday, and then 23rd-25th May enjoy the spectacle of Richmond Meet and the Whit Fair in the Market Place. Everyone is welcome to join in the parade on Monday 25th May, with a vehicle float or walking float - or just line the streets to watch the parade go by from Nuns Close to the Market Place.

The end of May also brings the varied magnificence of the Swaledale Festival, with many events taking place in Richmond and across the Dales.

Fronted by Sting look- and sound-a-like Owen James, The Rozzers are the most authentic Sting and The Police tribute act in Europe. The band have performed all over the world and now embark on their biggest ever UK tour.

The Police were one of the world’s biggest bands between 1977 and 1983, achieving five number one hits on both sides of the Atlantic. Sting then went on to be one of most acclaimed solo songwriters of his generation.

From Roxanne and Every Breath You Take to Fields of Gold and Englishman in New York, all the hits are reproduced with stunning authenticity and vocal accuracy.
