What's On

There's never a dull moment in Richmond...

There’s always something to do and somewhere to go in Richmond. With the unique Georgian Theatre Royal plus the award-winning independent cinema at The Station, drama and cinema are well taken care of, and then there’s the sparkling events programme at the Green Howards Museum, as well as Richmond Castle and the Richmondshire Museum.

The town’s many choirs and two orchestras offer up regular concerts, alongside the Richmondshire Concert Series in Spring and Autumn bringing in world-class chamber ensembles, while there’s plenty of live music at The Comrades Club and at many of the town’s great pubs. Richmond’s festivals are amazingly diverse, from the lively performance scene at MayFest to the delights of both “books and boots” at September’s Walking and Book Festival - never mind the epic Duck Race on the Swale.

Craft markets, health and wellbeing events, every kind of community group you can think of, talks, walks… you’ll always find something to enjoy.

Step into a whirlwind of music, theatre, and unexpected twists as Marske Choir takes you on a playful and imaginative journey through the history of musical entertainment from a Richmond point of view.

Soon events take a curious turn… when a certain local literary legend crashes the party. Suddenly, reality bends, characters unravel, and the stage is set for a delightfully weird and wonderful adventure.

Blending choral performance with drama, humour, and a touch of the surreal, The Alice Issue is a unique musical play that celebrates Richmond’s rich cultural past—with a wink to its stranger side!

This is a fundraising event for The Georgian Theatre Royal.

Tickets cost £12 and are available from Box Office on 01748 825252 or online: www.georgiantheatreroyal.co.uk
