There's never a dull moment in Richmond...

There’s always something to do and somewhere to go in Richmond. With the unique Georgian Theatre Royal plus the award-winning independent cinema at The Station, drama and cinema are well taken care of, and then there’s the sparkling events programme at the Green Howards Museum, as well as Richmond Castle and the Richmondshire Museum.

The town’s many choirs and two orchestras offer up regular concerts, alongside the Richmondshire Concert Series in Spring and Autumn bringing in world-class chamber ensembles, while there’s plenty of live music at The Comrades Club and at many of the town’s great pubs. Richmond’s festivals are amazingly diverse, from the lively performance scene at MayFest to the delights of both “books and boots” at September’s Walking and Book Festival - never mind the epic Duck Race on the Swale.

Craft markets, health and wellbeing events, every kind of community group you can think of, talks, walks… you’ll always find something to enjoy.

Half Term Activity Trail - February FriendsSaturday 14th February - Sunday 1st March 2026, 10am - 4pm daily.

Winter is fading and spring is just around the corner - our wildlife is waking up! Join us on an adventure around The Station to discover what our February friends are up to. Can you spot the signs of birds, insects, and animals getting ready for spring? Follow the trail, uncover fun facts, and see how our feathered and furry neighbours are welcoming the warmer days ahead! Once you’ve completed the trail, bring it to The Station Shop to claim a little treat!

Trail sheets are £1 per child and are available from The Station Shop from 10am - 4pm daily.
