There's never a dull moment in Richmond...

There’s always something to do and somewhere to go in Richmond. With the unique Georgian Theatre Royal plus the award-winning independent cinema at The Station, drama and cinema are well taken care of, and then there’s the sparkling events programme at the Green Howards Museum, as well as Richmond Castle and the Richmondshire Museum.

On 23rd-25th May enjoy the spectacle of Richmond Meet and the Whit Fair in the Market Place. Everyone is welcome to join in the parade on Monday 25th May, with a vehicle float or walking float - or just line the streets to watch the parade go by from Nuns Close to the Market Place. 

The end of May also brings the varied magnificence of the Swaledale Festival, with many events taking place in Richmond and across the Dales.

Quality Craft Fair An established, well attended Artisan Fair.

Once a month, 1st Sunday in Richmond Town Hall, a central venue.

Starting Sunday 7th December 2025

An established, well attended Artisan Fair, were you are sure of a warm welcome, as all exhibitors bring their own unique, creative style in handmaking their beautiful items. Held in the 18th century Richmond Town Hall in North Yorkshire.

Situated in the centre of town surrounding by a beautiful cobbled marketplace. Full of independent shops, cafes, museums and the Yorkshire Dales on the doorstep.

Bus stop in the main square and free parking in the market place with long /short stay car parks five mins walk from town.

Pop along and browse the many different stalls, were you can be sure to find that perfect gift.
