What's On

There's never a dull moment in Richmond...

There’s always something to do and somewhere to go in Richmond. With the unique Georgian Theatre Royal plus the award-winning independent cinema at The Station, drama and cinema are well taken care of, and then there’s the sparkling events programme at the Green Howards Museum, as well as Richmond Castle and the Richmondshire Museum.

And coming up is Richmond MayFest - the town's annual celebration of spring with loads of music, dance and family fun going on all over the town. This year it is all happening on May 2nd-May 4th, with the May Fair at Richmond Castle, concerts, ceilidh, Folk Fest, Baroque Fest, Day of Dance and much much more. Medieval Music in the Dales is the UK's only festival solely dedicated to medieval music. Concerts, workshops, talks and a whole lot of informal playing.

Festival Passes give access to just about the whole festival, but for a taster you could:

  • come along to one of our Evening Concerts
  • bring along the family on a Castle Pass for either Saturday or Sunday. This gives a reduced rate for admission to Bolton Castle from 10am to 5pm for up to 2 adults and 4 under-18s

This year our theme is Margins. For more information, visit medievalmusicinthedales.org
