Richmond Presents... Summer on the Swale!

There’s always something to do and somewhere to go in Richmond and this year's 'Summer on the Swale' programme offers loads of summer fun.

We’ve got an action-packed August full of outdoor activities and experiences – including Outdoor Cinema on the banks of the Swale and hosted by The Station, an exciting range of workshops for all the family including kite making and “Fly Your Kite Day” at the Racecourse, plus a bumper Bank Holiday weekend of Twilight Market and Music at Easby Abbey. Not to mention all the thrills and spills of Yorkshire Day and the Duck Club Annual Sports Day!

  • August 14th at 5pm: Outdoor Cinema - Mamma Mia - A Free Event
  • August 15th at 5pm: Outdoor Cinema - Jurassic Park - A Free Event
  • August 16th at 5pm: Outdoor Cinema - The Greatest Showman - A Free Event
  • August 19th 11am-12.30pm and 1.30pm-3pm: Kite Making Workshops at Richmondshire Museum - drop in session, children free
  • August 20th 11am-12.30pm and 1.30pm-3pm: Kite Making Workshops at the Green Howards Museum - drop in session, children free
  • August 23rd, 1-4pm: Fly Your Kite at the Racecourse - A Free Event
  • August 29th, 5-9pm: Summer Twilight Market 
  • August 30th, 11am-3pm: Music at Easby Abbey with Trouvere Medieval Minstrels
  • August 31st: The Richmond Duck Club Annual Sports Day at Richmondshire Cricket Club
