What's On

There's never a dull moment in Richmond...

There’s always something to do and somewhere to go in Richmond. With the unique Georgian Theatre Royal plus the award-winning independent cinema at The Station, drama and cinema are well taken care of, and then there’s the sparkling events programme at the Green Howards Museum, as well as Richmond Castle and the Richmondshire Museum.

The town’s many choirs and two orchestras offer up regular concerts, alongside the Richmondshire Concert Series in Spring and Autumn bringing in world-class chamber ensembles, while there’s plenty of live music at The Comrades Club and at many of the town’s great pubs. Richmond’s festivals are amazingly diverse, from the lively performance scene at MayFest to the delights of both “books and boots” at September’s Walking and Book Festival - never mind the epic Duck Race on the Swale.

Craft markets, health and wellbeing events, every kind of community group you can think of, talks, walks… you’ll always find something to enjoy.

Plunge into the wild world of the goddess Artemis; an ecstatic encounter with the Dawn; a moonlit path that leads to transformation; and a dilemma that maybe only the audience can solve. Then meet Kassandra, blessed with the power to see the future, cursed with never being believed: urban, dark and devastating.

Created and performed by storytellers Katy Cawkwell (Compelling and gripping - Everything Theatre) and Lucy Lill (Delightful and charismatic - Time Out).

Join them on a path less trodden, as they go hunting in the wild places and raking through the ashes of a fallen city to bring you epic tales of women taking their power whatever the consequences.

Age guidance 14+

Tickets cost £13 and are available from the Box Office on 01748 825252 or online at: www.georgiantheatreroyal.co.uk
