There's never a dull moment in Richmond...

There’s always something to do and somewhere to go in Richmond. With the unique Georgian Theatre Royal plus the award-winning independent cinema at The Station, drama and cinema are well taken care of, and then there’s the sparkling events programme at the Green Howards Museum, as well as Richmond Castle and the Richmondshire Museum.

The town’s many choirs and two orchestras offer up regular concerts, alongside the Richmondshire Concert Series in Spring and Autumn bringing in world-class chamber ensembles, while there’s plenty of live music at The Comrades Club and at many of the town’s great pubs. Richmond’s festivals are amazingly diverse, from the lively performance scene at MayFest to the delights of both “books and boots” at September’s Walking and Book Festival - never mind the epic Duck Race on the Swale.

Craft markets, health and wellbeing events, every kind of community group you can think of, talks, walks… you’ll always find something to enjoy.

Little Bird Artisan Markets take place at a variety of venues across the Yorkshire area. Each market offers a unique outdoor shopping experience, bringing together a wide variety of Artisan Traders, all selling beautiful hand made goods and locally grown/made produce. There is something for everyone from jewellery, crafts, art, candles, skincare, homeware through to local alcohol, cheese, bread, cakes, jams & pickles. There is also live music and a variety of hot & cold street food vendors at each event. All events are free, and they are a great day out for all the family, even the dog.
