There's never a dull moment in Richmond...

There’s always something to do and somewhere to go in Richmond. With the unique Georgian Theatre Royal plus the award-winning independent cinema at The Station, drama and cinema are well taken care of, and then there’s the sparkling events programme at the Green Howards Museum, as well as Richmond Castle and the Richmondshire Museum.

The town’s many choirs and two orchestras offer up regular concerts, alongside the Richmondshire Concert Series in Spring and Autumn bringing in world-class chamber ensembles, while there’s plenty of live music at The Comrades Club and at many of the town’s great pubs. Richmond’s festivals are amazingly diverse, from the lively performance scene at MayFest to the delights of both “books and boots” at September’s Walking and Book Festival - never mind the epic Duck Race on the Swale.

Craft markets, health and wellbeing events, every kind of community group you can think of, talks, walks… you’ll always find something to enjoy.

Meet Richmond artists, Carol Watson & Jaci Stroud in Goosewing Studios, The Station and Wonky Jewellery's Lou, more nearby & over 200 across N.Yorks.

Along with over 200 artists exhibiting across the county meet Richmond artists, jeweller Carol Watson with watercolourist Jaci Stroud at Goosewing Studios, The Station, as well as Lou of Wonky Jewellery at her studio on Gallowfields Trading Estate as part of this year’s North Yorkshire Open Studios Summer Exhibition.Take the opportunity to meet more local artists exhibiting include Marrick’s Martin Lever, fine artist and framer, Julia Noble of East Cowton and stoneware artist Carol Metcalfe at Tunstall as well as more in Reeth, Leyburn, Askrigg, Aysgarth, Hawes, Middleham and Thirn between Masham and Bedale.
